Recipe of refreshing Imli Aloo Bukhara Sharbat Summer Special
Here's a unique recipe for Imli Aalu Bukhara Sharbat, a refreshing and tangy drink made with tamarind and dried plums:
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup tamarind pulp
- 1/2 cup dried plums (aalu bukhara), pitted
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 4 cups water
- 1/2 teaspoon black salt
- 1/2 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
- Ice cubes
- Mint leaves, for garnish
Instructions:
Soak the tamarind pulp and dried plums in 2 cups of water for 2-3 hours, or until the pulp softens.
Strain the tamarind and plum mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a large bowl. Press the pulp with the back of a spoon to extract all the juice.
Add the sugar, black salt, and roasted cumin powder to the bowl and stir until the sugar dissolves.
Add 2 cups of water to the bowl and stir well. Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary.
Chill the sharbat in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or until it's cold.
To serve, fill a glass with ice cubes and pour the chilled sharbat over the ice. Garnish with fresh mint leaves.
