Recipe of Chicken White korma
Chicken White korma is a rich and creamy dish that is popular in Pakistan and North India. Made with boneless chicken, yogurt, cream, and a blend of aromatic spices, this dish is perfect for special occasions or family dinners.
Here's a simple recipe to make chicken white korma:
Ingredients:
- 1 lb boneless chicken, cut into cubes
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 1/2 cup cream
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 2 medium onions, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon ginger paste
- 1 tablespoon garlic paste
- 2 teaspoons coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
- 1/4 teaspoon white pepper powder
- Salt to taste
- 1/4 cup chopped cashews and almonds, for garnishing
- Chopped fresh coriander leaves, for garnishing
Instructions:
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together yogurt and cream until smooth. Set aside.
Heat oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add onions and fry until they turn golden brown.
Add ginger paste and garlic paste to the pan and fry for 1-2 minutes.
Add chicken to the pan and fry for 3-4 minutes until lightly browned on all sides.
Add coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, white pepper powder, and salt. Mix well and fry for 2-3 minutes.
Reduce heat to low and add the yogurt and cream mixture to the pan. Stir well to combine and cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is tender and the sauce has thickened.
Garnish the chicken white korma with chopped cashews, almonds, and fresh coriander leaves.
Serve the chicken white korma hot with naan bread or steamed rice.
