Recipe of Special Peshaweri Delicious Chapli Kabab

Chapli Kabab is a popular Pakistani street food that originated from the city of Peshawar. Made with minced meat and a blend of spices, these kababs are juicy and flavorful.

Here is a simple recipe to make chapli kabab:

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb minced beef or lamb
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 1 medium tomato, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup fresh coriander leaves, chopped
  • 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon garlic paste
  • 1 tablespoon ginger paste
  • 2 teaspoons red chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons coriander powder
  • 2 teaspoons cumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup besan (gram flour)
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • Salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, add minced meat, chopped onions, chopped tomatoes, chopped coriander leaves, chopped mint leaves, garlic paste, ginger paste, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, black pepper powder, and salt. Mix well.

  2. Add beaten eggs and besan (gram flour) to the mixture. Mix well until everything is well combined.

  3. Form the mixture into oval-shaped patties, approximately 2-3 inches in diameter.

  4. Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the kababs to the pan and fry for 3-4 minutes on each side, until they are golden brown and cooked through.

  5. Serve the chapli kababs hot, garnished with fresh coriander leaves, sliced onions, and lemon wedges.

  6. Chapli kababs can be served as an appetizer or as a main dish with naan bread or steamed rice.

Enjoy your delicious chapli kababs!
